Andruino – Bluetooth Android To Arduino Communication

- by - in Tools

Many people want to use their smartphones to control their Arduino projects. There’s so many things that would be easier via a smartphone rather than making hardware solutions – home automation, remote controls and pretty much anything you’d have to do via a computer. Instructables member Techbitar has created a simple Android app to control your Arduino over Bluetooth, using some simple buttons and sliders.

The app is in Alpha stage still, so expect some minor glitches (although everything appears to be pretty stable). All you need is an inexpensive HC-05 Bluetooth module, your Arduino and an Android smartphone. If you follow the steps on the Instructables page, you can download the app and Arduino sketch, and be up and running in no time.

This is a pretty cool little app, and kudos to Techbitar for sharing it with the world.
